What does FF&E stand for?
FF&E stands for furniture, fixtures and equipment. Hilow Interior like most designers include accessories in FF&E however when it comes to E (equipment) we may bring on specialised designers to work with us.
The furniture portion includes both interior and exterior pieces, residential, hotels and commercial. The simplest way to describe the F (furniture) is anything that will move, if it was possible to turn a room upside down.
The other F (fixtures) stands for decorative lighting. Please note architectural/ task lighting does not fall under FF&E, in this instance we would work with a lighting consultant.
Accessories include bathroom accessories (soap dish, towels, etc.), kitchen accessories (plates, cutlery, table dressing etc.) general accessories (vases, sculptures, etc.), lamps, rugs, window treatments, plants and artwork. Basically all items that pull the room together and make a house feel like a home.
